Men In Tights

My husband and I went to see two movies yesterday. Both were very good. I didn't realize it until afterwards when we went to get a bite to eat that there was a similarity between these two movies. It just hit me that we had seen two movies with men wearing blue tights, red underwear and red capes. I don't know why I didn't realize this at the theater, I guess I'm a little slow sometimes in seeing these things.

Nacho Libre was a lot of fun. The movie was made by the same guy that did Napoleon Dynamite. Jack Black was the perfect guy for the role too. He just brings something different to the characters he plays.

Superman Returns was excellent. I loved this movie. I didn't want to see it because I wasn't expecting it to be any good but I was very pleased with how the movie was made. I was a kid when the first Superman movies came out and I was thinking that there was no way this movie could compare with my memories of how good the first Superman was. Back then, that movie was high tech and really spectacular to see. Superman Returns did not disappoint. They kept the same theme music and same style throughout. Also, the star Brandon Routh did a great job being the Man of Steel. He looks so much like you expect Superman to look. The other character I really ejoyed watching was Lex Luther played by Kevin Spacey. He is great in anything he does and I just loved watching him be this sinister, intelligent and somewhat petulant character. I hope you like this movie as much as I did.
