COMMENTS ANYONE???
Okay people, what do I have to do to get comments on my blog? I look at other blogs, some that have just started and they have comments! I'm feeling somewhat desperate for some feedback I guess. Well, that's all I had to rant about, I just felt the need to say something.

What was I supposed to say?
As you know I have a cat. We've had him 12 years and if you know anything about cats, they tend to have certain things happen to them that they sometimes cannot control. Like barfing up hairballs on your carpet. This freaks my husband out considerably, mostly because he usually ends up stepping in the mess before we knew it had happened. So the last time that did happen, I was told that this was the last cat that we would ever own and that I was forbidden to get any more. Right....
So last night, he comes home and shows me a picture of a kitten that he took with his cell phone. One of his co-workers lives in a complex where this kitty lives and she is trying to find a home for it. He was abandoned and is now fending for himself. Poor, skinny, dirty little kitty. He shows me the picture. Why? I ask myself. What is he trying to do to me? Is this a test? So I ask him questions like, is he friendly?
The answer, nod of the head and an Oh yes, he purrs a lot. Great.
So what color is he? I think he's white but it is hard to tell with all of the dirt and grime on him. Arghh...feel my heart breaking for the kitty. Oh and he has yellow eyes.
Sigh. Did you tell her we would take him?
I said we would talk about it. (he's already made up his mind, he wants the cat. Big softy)
So I'm thinking about it and trying to rationalize bringing him home. He would need a complete vet work up which would cost at least $300.00. Worming, ear mites, vaccinations, anti-biotics, flea & tick bath. Then there's Yoshi to think about. After our other kitty died last year, he seemed to come out of his shell and became a real character. I don't think he would ever talk to me again if I brought this kitty home.
So I tell my husband, you can't show me that picture and expect me to do nothing about it. You do realize that Yoshi is going to be pissed about this. He'll never talk to me again.
So later that night, my husband is thinking up names for the kitten. I think he settled on Sebastian Constantine. That's what I get for letting him name the cat. I'm more of a Fluffy, Muffy, Kitty type person. It still remains to be seen if the cat is coming home with us. I'll let you know.

NICK NAMES
My husband is a patient man, but there are things I do that drive him crazy. I have nicknames for every pet we've ever had and for some reason that bothers him. Our cat's name is Yoshi which is a sufficient name and he answers to it quite well. But he has quite a personality and I do too, and I always have these things, names pop into my head and they just come out. I used to make up songs about Yoshi and sing them to him. Anyways, here are some of the names I've called him:
Yoshi-mus, Yoshi-no-ya, Yoshi-mi-gato, Fluffy, Kitters, Kitty-gato, Pooter, Orca, Baby, Kitten Little, Sweet Pea, and Pita (pain in the ass) because he can be one. The name my husband dislikes the most and the one I love to call him is Bubba. He's a big cat and it just seems to fit him.
I know when my husband has lost patience with me because he will say "That's not his name. It's Yoshi". Yet I almost never call my husband by his name and he seems okay with that. Hmmm.....

My Valentine
An alligator lives in my pond
He is a friend of mine
He came to me on Feb. 14th
And I call him Valentine

He's very sweet and pleasant too
But sometimes he gets moody
So when he's down and feeling blue
I bring him something fruity!

Renaissance Pleasures

Renaissance Faire with Shelby and Richard Posted by Hello

Also known as "boob-fest", we go every year just to see the plays (yeah, right). These two adorable guys call themselves Sound and Fury and they perform Fakespearean plays at Renaissance Faires around the country and I think around the world too. Check out their website http://www.soundandfury.org/

POEM
This is an original poem that I wrote last year.

Misty mornings
Damp with dew
The sun rising
On the horizon

Precious moments
Spent with you
Are like a new day
A miracle to behold
And a blessing to be thankful for

Hi there!
So, this is my first blog ever. I'm not sure what to expect or how long this will keep my attention, but I like to write so I think I may enjoy this experience. I intend to write in here almost daily, so if you like what you read, I would like to hear from you. I'm a very positive person so you can expect to read good things here. Thanks!
